Birds, Small Mammals & Exotics

What about our birds, small mammals and exotics?  Yes, there are certain conditions that are specific to them and several of our formulas are used worldwide to help. 

AVIAN APPLICATIONS

Common conditions birds may suffer from are feather plucking, stress, travel anxiety when traveling or to and from the vet or homes, gout, bumble foot, a variety of stomach issues and various skin conditions.  Administering HomeoPet products to your feathered friend is different.  Please note that the drops must be diluted in their drinking water each day.  

Anxiety's primary use in birds is to stop or prevent feather plucking, which is frequently associated with abandonment anxiety and other causes of stress like over attachment.  Use for introduction of strange people or other animals, for veterinary treatments etc. 

Joint Stress is useful in sprained legs and acute wing injury and is indicated for bumble foot and gout.

The Digestive Upsets is useful in all types of digestive upsets and dehydration.

The amount of formula will vary with the size of the bird and whether treating an individual or a group.  A caged bird can be medicated with 1 or 2 drops twice daily in the drinking water.  Water should be changed daily and re medicated with each change.  

SMALL MAMMALS

Such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, and pot-bellied pigs can be dosed by weight as for cats and dogs as listed on the dosing chart.  For severe cases, a drop can be diluted in 1 ml of water e.g., two drops for a mouse or small bird, four drops for a large guinea pig. For acute cases, it can be repeated as for cats and dogs, as listed on the dosing chart.
